Philosophy and methodology

Solution Focused Therapy

Solution Focused Therapy

Solution Focused Therapy

Goal focused therapy that aims to identify your skills in making decisions.

This therapy has been found to be effective for behavioural problems in adolescents and children (Hsu et. al.,  2021)

Narrative Therapy

Solution Focused Therapy

Solution Focused Therapy

A story-telling therapeutic technique that enables reflective, reasoning and self-esteem building practices. By externalising and deconstructing experiences, new empathetic insight and self-discovery can be achieved.

(Beaudoin, Moersch & Evare, 2016)

Schema Therapy

Solution Focused Therapy

Trauma-Informed Practice

The identification of maladaptive behaviours one has developed over time. Through respectful interaction and practices these can be dissected and evaluated to encourage positive behaviour  outcomes (Louis, et. al. 2021).

Trauma-Informed Practice

Creative Arts Integration

Trauma-Informed Practice

Many problems, behaviours, disorders and conditions can be trauma related. By focusing on what has happened, safety, trustworthiness, choices and empowerment can be discovered (Blue Knot Foundation , 2021).

Creative Arts Integration

Creative Arts Integration

Creative Arts Integration

The arts plays an integral role in forming identity across the world. Through artistic experiences and tactile activities the mind and body is stimulated enhancing body attunement, mind/body awareness, communication and empathy. (Kestenberg Amighi, J., et. al. 2018)

Child Aware Practice

Creative Arts Integration

Creative Arts Integration

The understanding that children are a reflection of the world around them.  Thus, by working collaboratively with their family and support network the child can be influenced to achieve the best well-being outcome (Emerging Minds, 2017).

Intersectionality

Behavioural Therapy

Behavioural Therapy

Inequalities and injustices for each person can vary due to many overlapping interdependent systems such as culture, gender and sexuality. Understanding that everyone's journey's are unique allows an empathetic and holistic experience (Womankind 2021).

Behavioural Therapy

Behavioural Therapy

Behavioural Therapy

The exploration of both beneficial and detrimental habits and how they influence well-being. The early intervention of concerning behaviours can  influence ones ability to gain social networks, education and positive aspirations.  (Dimian, 2021)

Autonomy Building

Behavioural Therapy

Autonomy Building

Living in a world that is not built to accomodate is what disables an individual.  Good skills and regular habits are achievable through vocational training and community connections which can generate empowerment to work, live and dream on choices rather than limitations (Raeburn, et. al. 2017, Salt & Jahonda, 2020).
